Technical Director
New River Church – Clover, SC

Reports to: Worship PastorPosition Summary
The Production Director is responsible for overseeing all aspects of Audio, Video, and Lighting (AVL) for New River Church and its ministries. This role ensures that every worship experience, event, and gathering is executed with technical excellence and consistency.
This is a hands-on leadership role that combines technical expertise, team development, and system management. The ideal candidate is both highly skilled in production and passionate about building and leading volunteer teams.
Key Responsibilities
Weekend Services & Events
Oversee all AVL elements for weekend services and midweek events
Ensure high-quality, distraction-free production environments
Lead pre-service preparation and service execution
Troubleshoot technical issues quickly and effectively
Audio, Video, & Lighting Oversight
Maintain and improve all AVL systems and equipment
Manage stage design, lighting environments, and visual aesthetics
Oversee video production, including IMAG, livestream, and recordings
Ensure consistent audio quality across all environments
Team Leadership & Development
Recruit, train, and develop volunteer production teams
Schedule and coordinate AVL volunteers for services and events
Foster a healthy, positive, and growth-oriented team culture
Provide ongoing coaching and technical training
Systems & Project Management
Plan and execute upgrades, installs, and maintenance of AVL systems
Build a good working relationships with integrators and ministry partners
Manage production-related budgets and purchasing
Create and maintain documentation for systems and workflows
Collaborate with worship, creative, and communications teams
Qualifications
Experience
3–5+ years of experience in live production (church or similar environment preferred)
Strong working knowledge of audio systems, video systems, and lighting design
Experience with live mixing, lighting programming, and video systems
Familiarity with livestreaming platforms and production workflows

Preferred Qualifications
Experience in a church of 1,000+ attendees
Knowledge of industry-standard AVL systems (e.g., digital consoles, lighting software, video switchers)

Basic understanding of networking and signal flow
Experience with production applications (e.g., Planning Center, ProPresenter, Resolume)

Facilities Custodian (Janitor)

Reports to: Business DirectorPosition Summary
At New River Church, we want every person who walks through our doors to feel welcomed, cared for, and at home. The Facilities Custodian plays a vital role in creating that environment by keeping our campus clean, safe, and ready for ministry. This position supports Sunday services, weekday ministries, and the daily life of a growing 1,500-member church.
Key Responsibilities
Creating a Clean & Welcoming Environment
Maintain all public spaces—including lobbies, worship center, classrooms, hallways, and restrooms—to New River’s standard of excellence.
Dust and vacuum office areas weekly.
Clean glass entry doors weekly and as needed.
Perform daily cleaning tasks: sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, trash removal, and restroom sanitation.
Restock restroom and cleaning supplies throughout the building.
Reset rooms after ministry use so every environment is guest-ready.
Set tables and chairs in meeting rooms following a published schedule.
Sunday Ministry Support
Prepare the campus before services, ensuring restrooms, seating areas, and high-traffic zones are clean and stocked.
Provide on-call support during services for spills, restroom needs, or urgent cleaning issues.
Assist with quick turnarounds between services to maintain a smooth guest experience.
Event & Ministry Support
Assist with setup and teardown for events, classes, and gatherings (tables, chairs, signage, etc.).
Support seasonal deep cleaning projects and special ministry needs.
Campus Safety & Stewardship
Identify and report maintenance issues such as leaks, broken fixtures, or safety hazards.
Follow proper procedures for cleaning chemicals and equipment.
Help maintain safe walkways and public areas during weather-related conditions.
Perform basic facility tasks such as changing light bulbs and minor repairs.
Team Collaboration
Work closely with the Facilities Director, Business Director, ministry leaders, and volunteers to support campus needs.
Communicate supply levels and equipment needs.
Contribute to a culture of excellence, hospitality, and teamwork.
Qualifications
Experience in custodial or facilities work preferred; church or school environment helpful.
Ability to lift 40–50 lbs and perform physical tasks for extended periods.
Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently.
Flexible and willing to support occasional evening or special events as needed.

The Production Director is respoNew River Church is seeking a hardworking, proactive, and technically minded Facilities & Maintenance Lead. In a 1,500-member church with a busy Christian Academy, our campus is a high-traffic tool for ministry. This role ensures that our physical environment is safe, clean, and fully operational to facilitate the worship and discipleship of our congregation.
Reporting to the Business Director, you will manage the day-to-day upkeep of the property, oversee major vendor relationships, and serve as the logistical backbone for all church and school events. You will also bridge the gap between physical infrastructure and digital systems by coordinating IT administration with the Production Lead.
Key Responsibilities
Facility Maintenance & Grounds
General Upkeep: Perform or oversee routine repairs including plumbing, electrical, HVAC filters, lighting, and painting.
Grounds Oversight: Manage third-party vendors for landscaping, lawn care, and parking lot maintenance to ensure the exterior honors the Lord through excellence.
Safety & Security: Ensure fire systems, alarms, and door locks are functional and compliant with local codes.
Event Logistics (Set Up & Take Down)
Weekly Transitions: Manage the physical transition of the campus between Sunday services, mid-week Bible studies, and Academy needs. Including configuring tables and chairs for specific weekly needs.
Event Support: Oversee the set-up and take-down of chairs, tables, and staging for large-scale events such as conferences, funerals, weddings, and VBS.
Janitorial Liaison: Coordinate with cleaning crews to ensure the facility is reset and sanitized following high-occupancy events.
IT Systems User Administration
Assist Technical Director and others in system administration for door access, security system admin, security camera system.
Vendor & Budget Management
Contracting: Source, vet, and manage external contractors for specialized repairs (HVAC, roofing, etc.).
Procurement: Manage the inventory and purchasing of maintenance supplies and janitorial stock.
Budgeting: Work with the Business Director to plan for long-term capital improvements and manage the annual facilities budget.
Focus Area - Primary Responsibility
Physical Plant
Building repairs, Grounds maintenance and HVAC.
Logistics
Set-up/Take-down for 1,500+ attendees.
Systems
Security, access, telephone and other end point support.
Vendors
Managing contracts including janitorial and landscaping.
Qualifications & Requirements
Spiritual Profile: A servant-hearted believer who sees facilities work as a vital ministry of stewardship and hospitality.Experience: 5+ years in facilities management, commercial maintenance, or a related trade. Experience in a multi-use facility (Church + School) is a plus.
Technical Skills:
Working knowledge of commercial HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems.
Proficiency in basic IT troubleshooting (networking, Wi-Fi, hardware).
Ability to operate heavy equipment (lift, tractor, etc.) if required.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift 50+ lbs and stand/walk for extended periods, especially during high-demand event days.
